Carmarthen Provisions Market has won the Consortium of Local Authorities in Wales (CLAW) Building of the Year Award for 2011.
"The Market overcame considerable site, local community and logistical challenges to deliver an outstanding contemporary landmark building. This unique Rio design reinforces the importance of the historic clock tower whilst providing a focus for the St. Catherine’s Walk regeneration development and Carmarthen Town centre itself."
Shortlisted for the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Awards, Carmarthen Provisions Market was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal in 2010.
