Working closely with Asbri Planning consultants and Jehu Group Contractors, Rio gained planning approval for this development of 50 DQR compliant apartments following a successful appeal. The simple and restrained palette of brick, timber and aluminium cladding creates a modest addition to the area that complements the existing residential development.
The proximity to the adjacent fish market and marina proved challenging through the planning process, with permission originally refused. However, a robust appeal and upgrades to the building fabric overcame this challenge, resulting in the creation of these new homes for Pobl Group. The block contains three ground floor accessible units with private entrances onto the waterfront and a mix of one and two-bed units above.
